Change the subject...? get it back on topic... . I did my Suzuka qualifying and race last night. qualifying on Pro level, scraped through Q1 just using the primes with a 34.7. Decided to hold on in Q2 until last 5 minutes, fuelled for 4 laps in case of traffic and got 4 laps of traffic. Button who had done a 32.x was cruising round doing 39s and I couldn't get past. 17th... Maybe 10th was in reach, but the AI was doing 30s & 31s at the top of the table and even my best sectors were not going to break that.

Wanting a bit of sport from my evening's endevours, I put the AI down to internediate for the 21 lap race. Wouldn't you know it, starting on primes and then having two fresh sets of options, I managed to undercut my way to victory .

Yeah, yeah, I know. Intermediate... Who cares...? Not me

Ok my live is now working, haad a few races online but all the idiots keep crashing into me in the 1st corner, which is annoying. Even when I was leading (for the first time ever) in Valencia they had to take me out, and I get the penalty, a lot like Hamilton. Anyone want an online race as long as I'm not taken out in the first corner?!

Traction control off, ABS off, AI on legendary, and who is the man that wins? Sly to the boogy...

Ok it's harder than 2010 as the drivers are much closer in the race, but even then 9 out of 10 times I will win with a big enough margin.

Multiplayer is total crap in 2011. Hardly no lobby's online and once your in one you have to be lucky that you won't get taking of in the first corner or when you are overtaking someone.

Every time I get that, they must be targeting me! I was winning a race by 2 laps, then the idiot I lapped twice slowed down and took me out, you can imagine how annoyed I was, it would of been my second online win aswell. I usually go for a calm driving style waiting for everyone to lose connection or get took out, but it annoys me when you go for an overtake and they just can't handle it and take you out. Especially in the first corner, I try avoiding it and it by some miracle I do it just carries into the second!

Last race in Monza i was third on the grid. The start was very clean no incidents in the first corner, so i am thinking this is gonna be a clean race. I overtook the second guy on lap 2 and on the start/finish straight i picked the right side to take the inside of the variante del rettifilo, when i was overtaking the first one. He probably was thinking that i got the better line and an overtake was bound to happen, so he began to push me in the grass and i couldn't brake ennough on the grass for the chicane which led to a disqualification for me.

Try the switchback/undercut it works a treat at Silverstone especially when you make them think your braking late! You can brake late and get past them or brake as late as possible, they brake later and just drive past them easily

I am sorry to hear that you are having so much trouble with the game online. I have only competed once online and thought it was pretty good. There were no crashes as we were all ghost cars. I know that takes away from the battles you can have with other racers but seeing as there is clearly no perfect sollution to stop idiots from crashing into you then it works well.

2011 was a big step forward from 2010, so I can only imagine that the same will be true for 2012.

I try to be conservative at times, and when I am, that where the problems starts. I seem to get hit more than I do when I am aggressive, and it's not just once in a race, it's several.

I preferred Online in 2010, I could win almost every race even when I got hit I could make a comeback. This one however, you get people cutting the track 2-4 times every lap an gain 1-3s on you and not get a penalty, and I get a penalty for missing a chicane once.

The online players this year also seem a lot more worse than last year.

I find the custom games best. You have to be a little patient waiting for a race to finish or someone to create a lobby, but the quality of play is so much better.
