Legend difficulty is well easy though

Kids these days:rolleyes: - too bloody good at everything! :D

It's as much as I can manage to win on pro level - as long as I don't make any big mistakes. I can't concentrate for long enough to turn off the auto-braking 'cos I find it really hard to pick the braking point.

When I were a lad... we had this

Well, that was what you started like - no assists in those days ;)

Once you go the hang of it (weeks later), it was more like this

Nice lap Jez.
It was a very nice lap, but I'm afraid it wasn't me.;)

I was about 1s off that pace when I was about 10 years old. I did a 1.24.x. My dad infuriated me by posting a 1.23.x and I could never beat him.

Which pixel is the car?

LOL

Mate, this was simply the best/most realistic/only racing game in it's day. It was based on Formula 3 for some reason and you only had Silverstone. The BBC Micro had 32K RAM and no hard disk, but they managed to make it really quick and responsive somehow. The best bit was the joystick control - forward for accelerate, back for brake, left/right :givemestrength:

Anyway MCLS, seeing as you're so good ;) , how about some setup tips for Suzuka? That's the hardest track I have tried. I am half way through a career GP weekend and have done a 1.33.8 on options and 1.35.x on primes. Using 7/8 wings, 4/11 roll bars and 1/9 ride height.

It depends on what assists and such you have on. For example having traction control, automatic gearbox and ABS make it way easier.

All assists :victory:. I'm nowhere near being able to keep it on the road without the braking assist

Having to think about braking, changing gear and all the rest? It's way too much for my little brain :s
