If we are being that idealistic, then why not go the whole hog and have a 200 mile long track

Otherwise, its not a straight fight for someone to get held up by another driver that is 3+ miles behind them in the race.

Where would we put the pit lane(s)?!

I know its not quite the same as being lapped but I've always been suprised the top teams have never complained too much when stratagey has put the cars out of order. Although the cars are fighting for position at the time, they are not fighting for a final position.

Don't get me wrong, I feel blue flags are somewhat over used and we are missing seeing the drivers using what used to be vital skills.
