Pre-Season Barcelona Test - 8th to 12th March

I think your in good company snowy.Sauber is my chosen team to support this year along with Lotus Renault ex Renault F1 to clear up any misundrstanding.
Sauber could well prove to be many of the midfield teams Achilles heel.I high hopes that they might even sneak onto the podium.

Sergio does another stonking lap! 1m21.761. Felipe must have thought he was on a roll with his 1m22.092 but he hadn't reckoned on the Sauber number 2 driver whooping his ass!

This is getting ridiculous! Yet another typo I have to correct in a post about Sauber!

Thank goodness you didn't quote me.

Pirelli did say that their tyre would work better in warmer conditions perhaps we are seeing that manifested... Or perhaps not...

Please, please, please, Sauber, don't let this be a trick to fool everyone. Be at least relatively "up there"..

McLaren confirmed on Monday that they would sit out today. All part of the "grand plan" maybe

However, the Woking outfit has now confirmed that it will sit out Thursday and having tested today and Wednesday will continue on Friday and Saturday.

Time for lunch me thinks:

Am i the only one thinking, hmmm.....this has parrealls with saubers performance in testing last season??
It could be seen that way I agree.
But the financial situation for Sauber this season is very different. In 2010 Peter Sauber was fighting to keep the team afloat.
They had next to no money to do any in season development on the C29.Consequently as the season progressed they fell further behind the field.
This season, although they are not awash with money they do have the budget in place to carry out in season development.

Well actually Sauber improved during the season, at least on the reliability front, They picked most of there points in the the last 3rd of the season.

Its more an observation then a statement of fact sportsman. The timmes at the moment are some 3 seconds of the pace. And while double diffusers are gone new tyres I don't think we will be seeing that in Melbourne. Also teams are doing long runs and that time was a one off lap I believe.

I suppose that really im saying its very early to say that Saubers going right there with the best of the rest. Deichipering Testing is like trying to crack the eginma code lol

Currently Sergio Perez, Mark Webber, Adrian Sutil, Jaime Alguersuari and Michael Schumacher are on track.

I am looking out for anyone doing a race simulation...

Jaime looks like he is practicing pitsops as is Schuey.
