Thanks for the update snowy

I suppose we won't really know how everyone compares until we see some low fuel laps from them all.

P.S. If you want your data to retain the columns, use the "pre /pre" tags like this:

The thingy works sometimes and sometimes not but I will get to the bottom of it even if it takes me a full seasons testing! :embarrassed:

I knew that Ferrari stuff was BS

You just need to use Notepad and the tab key to prepare the data - the tab key doesn't work when composing posts.
Then just preview the post and see what's not aligned and edit it in Notepad using the Delete and Tab keys to shift stuff from one column to the other.

Ah hah! Much better. LOL

I think we can safely say Felipe is going to be there or there abouts, which sets everything up for the most epic season of F1 in two decades.

Glad the McLaren isn't another....

They're still almost a second off the Ferrari though. Although at a first practice session, we have no idea who is sand-bagging. At one point the Torro Rosso was so far behind, I thought they'd stopped for a brew on the way round! :o

That assumes that the fuel loads are similar, and that the test schedules are similar. It's still early days, but it does look an impressive time

A few of obs and questions having looked at the cars from the first tack test.

Are the bin lids on the wheels banned this year? If so Woo Hoo!

Many of the cars appear to have the bodywork stop rather abruptly before the rear suspension is this because the reg don't allow bodywork in this area as the STR is fully enclosed? Maybe they are not showing, like the bin bags stuffed around the diffuser of the Renault - nice touch guys, very professional.

Is the Renault not finished? I appreciate they are short of a few sponsors but they look like they have only painted half of it.

The Mercedes is described as "radical" on some news services. Anyone got any idea what is so radical about this car, apart from the fact that Brawn and his team have "radically" copied the Red Bull to make their car "radically" the same? Take a look at the F1 website, the front wing looks to be held together by Meccano. Has James May been spotted in Northamptonshire recently? Also, is that a KERS air in-take just behind the main air in-take?

Finally, take a look at the STR5 rear suspension detail, most of the back half of the suspension appears to be covered in black tape. So, after 8 months in the wind tunnel perfecting every nuance and line, some ham fisted clod in the pits thought "Oil jest bind this up with some sticky tape then, that'll make it quickerer"
