Current Sir Lewis Carl Davidson Hamilton MBE

A place to put all the posts from all the other threads primarily but love him or hate him, and even for the indifferent amongst us this is the place to discuss the marmite that is Lewis Hamilton, to learn a thing or two about his rise, talk about those controversial, genius or mad moments and something that i am bemused by, the recent articles that suggest something quite different to my perception of what's going on. Any experiences of meeting LH?

Brundle had to write a Lewis Hamilton article recently and in my tweets (which were probably ignored) I asked him to talk about LH the driver not LH the personality. It seems that you can't have one without the other.

So as a starter for ten, here is a fairly recent LH article. Posts should not be limited to this link but it can get some discussion going. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/formula_one/13755883.stm

The only banned topic as it is clearly ridiculous involves these four things "Glock" "2008" "Brazil" "conspiracy"

A subtle nod to an end of his partnership with his dad? "You got me from here to here, Dad. Thanks.", sort of thing. Or am i reading too much into it? Cool helmet, anyway.

I like the base of yellow he uses, always easy to see if its him or his team mate, I can see why his dad chose it.
But tis year he's with Nic who also has yellow. I can't see either if them changing, neither should they, so it could be tricky in the height of battle/ busy times like the start, to tell which is which.

Nico's yellow is like a watery egg yolk from a greasy spoon. Lewis's yellow is like a full rich egg yolk from my very own frying pan.
This is true, but sometimes from a distance, it's not always easy to tell, especially when I'm in a heightened state of panic when things are happening.
Good point @The pits, but I can never see the car numbers, I always look for the hats.

racecub "I always look for the hats."

Until the habit of changing lid designs took hold, I did that as well combined with looking out for yellow or red "coded" mirrors and wing "patches". For some time now I've only relied on the colour codes.
