Ron Dennis

I was surprised to see there wasn't already a thread about this most famous of (former) team principals.

Much has been said about Ron Dennis and his unique personality and approach, mostly taken with a pinch of salt and slight chuckle.
Well perhaps this article, by a former McLaren employee, will dispel some myths while simultaneously reinforcing others: http://f1elvis.com/2012/11/07/mr-ron-dennis-cbe/

Love him or loathe him, Dennis' tenure at McLaren will be remembered for a long time to come and it is inevitable that current and future team principals will be compared to him.

I would be most surprised if this is the last we have seen of Mr. Dennis in F1 (or even McLaren for that fact).

I went to the Maldives for a year. I didn't pay anything. I even got paid whilst there. There is not a lot to see. Small sharks do come over the reef.

did David actually understand any of the words that Ron was using in the argument? I know i dont!!

Are we really believing a report from "The Sun" ? Even if it's true, do we care about The Bechams, The Ramsey's and Ron Dennis.

I know I don't.

Enjoy your retirement at the Eddie Jordan home for former team principles, Ron.

Flavio is running the Bingo evening in the lounge on Sunday night.

cider_and_toast - Flavio is not allowed to run the bingo evening after the claims of corruption on his turn back in the day. He was discovered when his balls were inspected.

These days, the bingo tends to be run by Paul Stoddart, who swears outrageously throughout. Newbie Monisha Kaltenborn has, however, asked for a turn, although she seems to have also sub-contracted Giedo van der Garde into doing it.
