Nico Rosberg

Nico Erik Rosberg, son of Keijo "Keke" Erik Rosberg, is about to have his 100th Grand Prix meeting this weekend in Hungary.

I was about to write my "best wishes" to him in 'his' thread...but I couldn't find one...so, I figured I might as well start it off.

What is very interesting is that his father, Keke, took part in 114 Grand Prix races in his entire Formula One career, winning 5 of them - all for Williams from 1982 to 1985 - as well as a World Championship.

It's interesting in that Nico is approaching that number quickly and he's already about to finish off his 6th season in a few months...but without a win to his name...and no win in sight given the current pecking order of the cars.

Some say Nico is a great talent...while others say he hasn't fared well against quality teammates in their prime, so it's hard to judge. Mark Webber is, seemingly, his only reasonable benchmark and that was way back in his rookie season in a car that was one of the worst ones ever constructed by Williams.

What are people's thoughts on Nico Rosberg?

Regardless, Godspeed to Nico on the occassion of his 100th Grand Prix this weekend! :)

Hamilton has a 5 place grid penalty in China for a geabox change and:

N Rosberg said:
Hamilton starting sixth is still going to challenge for the win," he said. "I am still fully focused.

What, focused on qualifying 2nd? I would say grow some fucking balls Nico, but after all, August 2014 is still a recent memory. 8-)

He seems to be quite personable now he's winning. Let's see how he copes when (if) he loses a couple of races.

Maybe a rethink is needed here.
I actually put money on Nico for the WDC before the season started so that even if he wins it, I can't be too upset because I'll make 5 times what I bet-but I still think it will come down to final race and Lewis will win (at least that's what I'm hoping)

He has finally admitted that he made an error by being in the wrong mode at the start of the last race. I wonder if that will change how the team view the incident.

It's very relevant when you're doing several MPH less than your teammate due to said mode, fiddling round with your steering wheel and not paying attention to him coming to overtake you...

Yes but no. I thought the suggestion was that Rosberg pushed Hamilton off the track? If he was 'fiddling with the steering wheel and not paying attention' are you suggesting that when he moved over he was completely unaware of Hamilton.

We've already established that the engine mode thing is a red herring. Hamilton's closing speed would have been the same as if he had DRS and Rosberg didn't so it wasn't like his car was crippled.
