Looks like the BMW M1 racing revival got off to a flying start at the Hockenheimring last weekend http://www.autosport.com/news/grapevine.php/id/69269:

Race 1 winner: Niki Lauda
Race 2 Winner: Jochen Neerpasch (Can't find owt on this race though! had to wiki the result )

I would have liked to have seen that.

The BMW M1 is an iconic car and incidentally, one of the best cars in PGR 4

Yeah shame it wasnt on telly box

I can kinda remember the originals and used to have a battery powered one when I was a kid (one of those daft remote control ones with a wire between car and steering paddle thing! )
