Current Lewis Hamilton

A place to put all the posts from all the other threads primarily but love him or hate him, and even for the indifferent amongst us this is the place to discuss the marmite that is Lewis Hamilton, to learn a thing or two about his rise, talk about those controversial, genius or mad moments and something that i am bemused by, the recent articles that suggest something quite different to my perception of what's going on. Any experiences of meeting LH?

Brundle had to write a Lewis Hamilton article recently and in my tweets (which were probably ignored) I asked him to talk about LH the driver not LH the personality. It seems that you can't have one without the other.

So as a starter for ten, here is a fairly recent LH article. Posts should not be limited to this link but it can get some discussion going. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/formula_one/13755883.stm

The only banned topic as it is clearly ridiculous involves these four things "Glock" "2008" "Brazil" "conspiracy"

I had annoyed when there are 21 attackers, Ramos and Neuer on football's World Player selection. How the hell can you compare Djokovic to Hamilton to Curry to whoever...

Dan Carter was the BBC's choice - he's the best fly half in the world, but was he the best All Black?

And what about that bloke from Pakistan who hadn't lost a squash match for about three years? Who is field hockey's greatest player?

Essentially, it's all nonsense, and a win isn't reflective of anything. He's the best at Formula One, in 2015. That's enough.

No, GB KekeTheKing, funny thing though, I never saw the medal, it was supposedly handed down through a different side of the family.
He died in the stands during a rugby match at Twickenham which, as a Welshman, bought him a lifelong season ticket to hell.

Having had time for googlising I now fear that a very long lasting family tale was merely embellishment of a simple fact, that he'd competed but was clearly let down by all the Englishmen in the team.

It was in reference to the guy you were trying to track down for me on the ask thread when you said you invented the shatterproof ruler. was a poor attempt at humour.

Lewis has not yet done with winning. He says there's more to come from him.

On the challenges ahead , particularly the new pit to car radio rules he has this to say...

""It's tough mentally - but that's a good thing, as it forces you to be resilient and seek improvement in every area. There are a few things that will make it even more challenging for all of us this season - the changes to the radio rules will have a big impact, as the engineers now can't give you prompts or reminders that might affect performance during the race, so you have to remember so much more. This even applies to strategy, so when it's shifting throughout the race you won't be in the loop. It will be tough - but hopefully it will make for more exciting races.

Meanwhile both Merc drivers receive endorsements from the big boss at Mercedes (zetsche).
He says Formula One has had a direct effect on sales of cars.

Zetsche claims part of Mercedes recent sales success is linked to the image of "coolness" Formula One provides.

"As long as we have cool drivers - and I think we have the coolest drivers out there........."

F1 success has link to improved Merc car sales

So I guess Lewis' earnings/chains/dogs/jetting/music / wrestling tigers/ haircuts/ fashion shows etc are pleasing the people who matter. So long as he keeps winning of course. ;)

At the moment he's winging his way around New Zealand. Had a run in with someone at Sky Casino in Auckland. LOL Been cruising around the city on a Harley and then flew down to Queenstown. Except for the Casino he's loving New Zealand's beauty.

RasputinLives ..... Hi Ras, we try to be nice and NZ is a wonderful place but we have a petty local news service that tried to make a story out of nothing. Sounds like Lewis loved his short time here. :)
Glad you love NZ Ras.
