Indy Car and general US Motorsports

this has meant that this has been brushed under the carpet.

which i find quite odd move. to in quite profile move sack him as vice president after this back in may

wow. all 3 penske race statergists gone. not surprise with cindric after last season push to pass scandal. roger penske has been brutal & probally had to be to keep his own credibility as team & series owner
  • 26 years as team president & chief race strategist for Newgarden Tim Cindric gone
  • Managing director Ron Ruzewski, who was also the race strategist for Power, has been relieved of his duties after 21 years with Penske.
  • general manager Kyle Moyer. the race strategist for Scott Mclaughlin, has been relieved of his duties after 11 years with Penske.

I don’t think it’s unfair to question how sincere the apology really was. Was it about the scandal itself, or simply damage control? It raises doubts about whether they ever truly believed they were in the wrong.

If the breach was serious enough to justify sackings, then rehiring the same figure so quickly makes it look more like PR than genuine accountability.

If Penske genuinely believed standards were knowingly crossed, why bring back the very person who dragged the organisation’s name through the mud just 9 months ago

i forgotten that IndyCar is back on Sunday. which is brilliant. great to have it back. the big question being can anyone stop the dominant alex palou, who going for 4 championships in a row & 5 of the last 6. there were times last year where he was untouchable on the road courses, he had the title wrapped up by round 7 in early June. in my opinion if he stays in indycar & stays fit he could easily match/break AJ Foyt record then the skys the limit

there have a few changes from last year will power after 16 years, the only guy who since 2020 has broken ganassi's strangehold on the indycar title was replaced by penske with highly rated up & comer david malukas. hopefully he stayed off the bike this winter. after the arrow mclaren debarcle. & Will power has taken the seat at andretti vacated by Colton Herta

every year indycar get more & more european. following in footsteps of Dan Wheldon, Dario Franchitti, Justin Wilson, Sebastian Bourdais in 00s & of course Alex Palou recently. where drivers are seeing america as a great 2nd choice, 3 time F3 Race winner caio collet joins AJ Foyt, as he graduates as Indy NXT runner Up. (Americas F2)

Romain Grosjean is back at Dale Coyne, paired up with Former F3 champion, 5 time F2 race winner & the current Indy NXT Champion Dennis Hauger. but the biggest european story is that Mick Schumacher has joined Indycar With RLL, which will be fasinating to see how he goes

1 of the interesting rumours was that yuki tsunoda was seemingly interested after a promotional day, where he drove a indycar with Scott Dixon
