As a break out from the 'Film Thread' where we have had a little discussion about this, how about nominating and, where possible, posting you tube links, your greatest movie car chases.

I'll get the ball rolling with one of mine which is this classic from the film Ronin:

Yep, hard to argue against that one from Bullet. A proper classic.

That car chase from The Duel is fantastic. Great rising tension, a drop in tension and a feeling of elation as he pulls up the hill and leaves the truck behind, then the radiator hose blowing and praying for the crest of the hill, with the truck gaining on him. That is a master class in tension and release. Stunning.

I don't think this thread can go without a mention of the Fast and the Furious franchise either, so here's the Tokyo city chase from Tokyo Drift:

The French Connection (1972). Very realistic car chase. I think still holds its own after so many years.
