I have absolutely zero hard evidence of this, but I'm sure RBR spent much more than everyone else on their actual race car this year. Their Spa and Monza packages alone were enough to flaunt the fact that they had no intention of respecting any kind of RRA. They were happy to go along and pay lip service to a Restrictions Agreement, but when somebody decided to try and enforce it, they jumped ship.
Can't say I blame them. When you've got the dominant car, you'll do anything to keep it that way.
