F1 cars: 1950 to present day

Cracking links there.

So in 1960 was it the BRM or the Cooper that pioneered the rear engine design first?

Umm... first mid-engined win was a Cooper 45, 1958, Stirling Moss in the Rob Walker-entered car in Argentina.

That's a pretty impressive effort they've put together there, but there are quite a few missing cars. Nothing at all from HWM and Alta, for instance.

It does include errors, however. It states that the 1967 Eagle (to me, the most beautiful F1 car of all time) was Climax powered, yet shows SIX cylinders feeding into the exhaust, clearly indicating that it is the Gurney-Weslake V12. Still, a great resource. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
