Bruno Senna

Congratulations to young Bruno Senna for a fantastic qualifying session today.

I'm sure his uncle would be very proud knowing he's starting the Belgian Grand Prix - his first race of the year - from 7th on the Grid.

Spa-Francorchamps is a special circuit. A real challenge and known as a "driver's circuit" which "separates the men from the boys".

Add to that the tricky, greasy conditions you had today and Bruno's consistency in ALL 3 sessions at this circuit means there's some talent there.

The Renault is by no means a Top 4 car...so to be 7th on the grid ahead of the likes of World Champions Alonso and Button (both of whom have superior Ferraris and McLarens) and his somewhat highly rated teammate Petrov, is a very good achievement.

Good luck in the race tomorrow Bruno!

C'mon Boy...Make Brazil Proud of it's Formula One drivers again! :cheer:

Bruno not had a full season or a car at least to show his abilities.

neither has half the F1 drivers in F1 history when you talk about cars - you earn your right to the better cars with your performances in the craper ones right? Bruno's not done that for me and he's had 26 Grand Prixs and thats my final word.

The WIlliams is not one of the better cars at the moment so the carrot is out for Bruno to prove he is a lot better

Considering Bruno was forced to stop racing when his uncle died and wasn't allowed (by his family) to start again until he was 20 I think he has done exceptionally well and deserves his F1 career.

No disrespect for your opinion but I look forward to him proving you wrong..

Of course, you could register your opinion on all the teams with the Clip the Apex Team-Mate Prediction. You could even take on this little lot:

We've already tackled that one Mephistopheles and he's actually been racing single seater cars longer than Sebastian Vettel so that excuse can be thrown out the window already.

I was just reporting rumours! I might get the forecast for testing actually! And this is why I didn't team up with you in Fantasy F1, negativity!

If I remember correctly...you were the one asking me to be your team mate and I said I will see!

I will go alone then...dominate the world on my own if no one wants to be my team mate!

Who's in your team? I feel sorry for them LOL

Yeah, i asked you but I withdrew my offer! And what about the Whippet, you two seem adament on destroying me! I'm with the legendary statician TBY! And he offered and was previously successful!

I prefer the word "reason" to "excuse" an excuse is something you make up to cover your tracks I don't think he needs any excuses as he hasn't done anything wrong yet he also doesn't need to provide a reason for failing because he hasn't failed and he may not.

I think I'll stick with the word excuse as he's been beaten by every team-mate he's had in F1 so far and its only wield out to defend why he's not had good results as of yet.

Senna out qualified Karun 6 - 3 but had 6 retirements to karun's 2 so can't really make a fair comparison in the races.

Senna out qualified Yamamoto 5 - 1 but retired once and was replaced by Klien for 3 races.

Senna out qualified Pertrov 5 - 3 And beat him fairly in some races where they both finished.

Where as he hasn't had good races for a whole host of reasons (reasons not excuses) none of his team mates have matched him for raw speed, and once you've got that you can develop the race craft that bits easy, by comparison.

So I say he deserved to be where he is and deserves the chance to prove himself.

No one ever won a world championship in qualifying dude.

Chandhock = above him in the championship despite not doing a whole season

Petrov scored double the points Senna did and your quali stats are off coz Senna was in front of him on the grid for one race due to having a lower number on his car when neither ran in session 3!

Oh and Senna only missed one Grand Prix when he was replaced by Yamamoto - he never was replaced by Klien but went up against hin 3 times and lost 2-1

People always have excuses for Bruno but when you come down to it - greats don't get out qualified by Sakon Yamamoto
