Something went terribly wrong with their L-Pods! They have had to add wings just aft of the mirrors to add some control to the airflow.

I'm not very observant as they have been there since day one of testing... But I can be forgiven since there haven't been that many opportunities to look at the McLaren...

McLaren hopes rain eases off so it can get some wet weather data, but at the moment conditions are still too wet for that.

The stops were all made within a usual space of time. He certainly didn't stop for any extended periods.
You can't see Rubens times from yesterday but you can get an idea of how there is a fairly graphical illustration of the laps with any large gaps showing up quite clearly.

Be interesting to see how Williams stack up for this season? They have been waxing lyrical about their positives, where as McLaren have already said they are this season going to be just off the pace/poor/uncompetitive/sandbagging* for this season.

So could we see a 3 team tussle for the 3rd constructors place? With McLaren, Williams and Renault going at it......that does remind me of the early 80's with Rosberg, Watson & Prost.....

I'm not impressed by the McLaren design team, they appear to have tunnel vision.

If it isn't a tunnel, they can't see it. And if you put heat through it, it disappears!

When asked by Autosport if he felt frustrated that it was a nice sunny day at Silverstone and he was here in the wet:

I don't think it's frustrating. It's unfortunate. Instead of testing Thursday we pushed it a day later and it was beautifully sunny on Thursday. But that's the way luck goes.
We've done a couple of laps today but we've not seen rain like this for a while.

Luck shouldn't enter into it, that is what weather forecasts are for.

I don't know. I could only be guessing right now, I just don't know where everyone else is. Yesterday I looked at the times and everyone's done a 1m21s. I couldn't get into the 1m21s the other day. I just got into the 1m22s. So based on my times compared to them it looks like we're two seconds off, but we're not two seconds off. Yesterday Jenson [Button] didn't do any light-fuel runs or decent tyre runs, so it's difficult to know exactly where we are.
I'm assuming they did qualifying runs. 1m21.2s is very competitive. I would guess that we could get down to a low 1m22s maybe, but that's just a guess.
