....All cars are designed independently (except '07 McLaren)....

Not even near the truth. We do not know about other teams and other years but in 2007 and 2008 McLaren were continuously being checked by the FIA. Had there been even one nut which looked in the least like a Ferrari one they would have been jumped on. Uncle Max was after their guts.

Brawn/Mercedes have their very obvious, hand operated brake bias adjuster but we rarely see other drivers shifting levers back and forth through a race. Anyone else know how the others teams make this adjustment and why it can't be done automatically? Maybe it is?

Who was the last driver to race for McLaren and not win a race while driving for them?

Was it Michael Andretti? Did Mansell ever actually race for them?

Didn't Mass win the truncated Spanish GP in 1975 driving for the full Mclaren team? Also missing from that list is Nelson PIquet who made 3 appearances in a non-works Mclaren in 1978.

Mass was the one I was doubtful about. Technically in 1975 he was driving a Marlboro Team Texaco which was a Mclaren chassie but the team weren't officially Mclaren that year for some reason. In 74 they were Yardly Team Mclaren and in 76 Marlboro Team Mclaren - So having only the record books to look through I'm not sure if the 75 team were offically Mclaren or not!

As for Piquet he never drove for the works Mclaren team he drove for BS Fabrications (you couldn't make that up by the way!) who ran a Mclaren chassie so didn't include him as I thought it would be a bit like saying Scott Speed drove for Red Bull because he'd been in a Toro Rosso.

Sebastian Vettel has won a race in every FULL season he's been involved in. Lewis Hamilton has won a race in every season he has been involved in.

as for former - I'm still looking! I thought I'd cracked it with Fangio but he didn't win in 1958!

Yeah, it was looking at those 2 drivers' stats that got me thinking about it, if someone could go through their entire career always winning.

I didn't see much of 2005 but practically everyone says Kimi Raikkonen was let down by a fast but fragile car. And that Alonso could sit pretty in 2nd and take the win when Kimi broke down.

Looking at his results it says he only had 2 retirements in 2005, what mechanical failuires did he have that cost him the championship?

He retired at Imola with a driveshaft problem and retired at the Nurburgring as he stayed out too long on the tyres to go for the win rather than pitting and finishing second or third, he had a flat spot on his tyre which caused vibrations and a suspension failure on the last lap:

He had a lot of problems with the engine place drops. He lost positions on the grid at Magny-Cours, Silverstone and Monza, losing all three races. All these times he finished behind Alonso.
