What.

Vettel was already going to stop due to wing damage. Leaving him dead last and Hamilton and Max out in front. Nothing to loose trying to damage hamilton with his already broken wing.

Lewis was going to win the championship, he only needed fifth place. But the race could still have been good. Vettel and Verstappen on the front row with nothing to loose, Ham in third place with good race pace. But it was ruined straight away when Vettel once again showed he either had absolutely no peripheral awareness of other cars, or couldn’t bare the fact that both Max and Lewis overtook him so he hit them. The guy smells more and more of desperation. Couldn’t even really enjoy Lewis driving through the field because his car was too damaged to be really effective. The Lewis Alonso battle was good with a great o retake in the end after much good robust defending.
Max was superb. I can’t understand the negativity from some regarding him. I think he’s amazing.

So what’s could have been a great race, was a meh race. Thanks Vettel.
Now I’ve forgotten what I scored it 4 or 5

but that would be like if Hill took Schumacher out in Adelaide 1994. why are you trying to take out the guy who could've retired for final 3 races as if Vettel didn't win all 3 & still be world champion

Perhaps it was all part of the master plan! :D

Take out Ham and win. Only problem was he didn't do enough damage to Ham and sustained damage himself. No harm in trying though as the odds were stacked anyway.

Vettel, who has been accused of no spacial awareness, now has the precision and skill to be able to shred Hamilton's tyre with the jagged end of his broken wing (one he can't see from his own cockpit) and come up with he plan and idea within 5 seconds of being hit by another car. If that is true that kid is the most talented race driver I have ever seen.

I thought the tin foil hats were all in Dutch colors now but we're back to classic Merc silver now.

Maybe Hamilton went into the corner too fast, realised that he was going to go off the circuit so he lifted off not realising that Vettel was that close?

Before you start throwing bricks at me it wasn't my idea, it was Allan McNish on Radio Five.

Looked like he was trying to correct the car after his front wing broke, he was steering right the moment he hit Hamilton.

The race a bundle of nerves for me. Hoping that Verstappen or Bottas wouldn't have any engine failures or other mechanical breakdowns.

Give the race a...6

Congratulations to Lewis at becoming a 4XWDC....:cheer:

It's uncanny, or is it just me?

With the long straight passing is still difficult when the cars are full racing trim and DRS. The best action is at the start when the run down with the tow seems to be more effective from a standing start

I know the stadium section is suppose to involve the crowd a bit more but it is counterproductive to the racing to so it seems

If these cars had Indycar style rear wheel protection, this would have been a much more exciting race. I know it looks ugly, but surely they can find a way to improve the aesthetics. I always feel punctures area huge disappointment in races especially when the driver isn't at fault.
