Is this something to do with improving the diet and fitness of the drivers at Williams. I can't help but think that could be the reason for this move. Unless he has some kind of engineering background we don't know about.

At each pitstop, the umpire fires a starting gun, then the mechanics have to do a 20 metre sprint to the car before they can change tyres.
They might need slightly wider pit lanes though. But if they went back to Indianapolis, they would probably even have enough space to introduce hurdles.

I guess signing with Michael Johnson's performance company to train their pit crew has helped somewhat as Williams had the fastest pitstop in Malaysia.

Oh dear, that was the stop where Maldonado overshot his box and sat there for a few seconds looking silly, before going on his way again (you'll see further down that list he pitted again on Lap 15).

Haha, I looked up the times as I just watched Ted Kravitz's blog where he said that Maldonado had the fastest pitstop time. Maybe you should tell him as well!

I think that they already regret not being to afford to employ an experienced driver.

The Pastor I think is likely to shoot into unexpected positions every now and then, but not always get the maximum from his pace thanks to being so wreckless. Hamilton is calm and collected in comparison.

If Bruno can turn in a couple more Malaysias and keep his head while he does it then great, but one great drive don't make a season. I think for a team like Williams it might be best to have two wild card youngsters picking handfulls here and there. A guy like Rubens is more likely to drive it to where it should be each time without fail, but if should be around 11th that might not be a good thing.

I suppose that is somewhat borne out by what we saw last year. Barrichello was higher than Maldo on most occasions, but Maldo was invariably in any Williams that got into Q3 or nearly finished in a mid-points place.

In fact, last season, Maldo was the only Williams driver to get into Q3! Barry C never made it!

Yep, indeed he was. It seems to me Maldo is that most unfortuanate combination of being both slightly reckless and a street circuit specialist. If he was faster on the 'open' circuits he'd get away with his recklessness to some extent, but unfortunately he's crash prone at exactly the point where he's at his best.
