I've seen a few comments recently from pepole being a bit negative towards rap. I'm aware the comments weren't entirely serious but I do believe that there was something in the comments and that people (maybe not here) have let their limited exposure to some rap (& hip hop) shape their opinion of all of it. (And anyway I want to share some music that you wouldn't normally listen to).
I've picked a video with the lyrics (most if them are right, just ignore things like 'elefits Gerald', even I can't defend that!) so you can read them if you don't want to listen, although isn't that the point of music?
This song will change the way you think about things, if not listen again and take it in.
My favourite line from the song 'The only way we can ever change anything, is to look in the mirror and to find no enemy'.
More 60's RnB (That's Rhythm and Blues for anyone under the age of 25 !!!)
And ok, so this was early 70's RnB but it's still one of the greatest songs every. Don't let it be watered down just cause it was used as a theme tune to a flashy US Crime drama. Listen to the lyrics.
