The 2012 Season

And the last time McLaren had two (or more) consecutive front row lock-outs was in 2007...

Then it was MON - Alonso, CAN - Hamilton, USA - Hamilton.

If I had the foresight to know that the Red Bull didn't have virtually unbeatable quali and race pace as we have seen for the most part of the last 18 months I'd have had stab.

Those standings from the Hub:

Karthikeyan's penalty drops him behind his team mate to 23rd in the standings, just ahead of.....Grosjean who is dead last.

I presume a 3 week break allows the teams to come home and take at least one week's break to work on the cars or fly out new bits. Mclaren can rebuild the cars Jenson has wrecked ;) and the drivers can have a bit of R&R or do some PR work in the Far East. Then the back to back races wind things up before the next test session and the start of the European season.

That's more what I was alluding to. FA has scored all Ferrari's points which isn't clever.

Alonso does not care about the constructors championship and Ferrari have always done better when it has a clear No 1 and No 2 policy with drivers like Fangio, Surtees, Lauda, Prost and Schumacher

That is why Raikkonen was disappointment despite his abilities.

Ferrari to cope with the mad house politics need someone who is so focus and able to get the team together .

As for No 2 driver yes its not great for Massa at the moment but I don;t see any other half decent driver out there except maybe Rosberg who wants to be NO 2 to Alonso at Ferrari

I think the EBD combined with the DRS last year really gave Red Bull their speed in quali in the form of Vettel and as ever the Red Bull seems to be more aero dynamic reliant than other cars if it has not got clear air

I do not expect this season to be a walk over like 2011 simply because there is probably 4 teams that can be race winners plus Alonso so we are talking about 9 drivers

As for Bahrain... I wonder if Bernie will go because he could do with the money for CVC to avoid humiliation

There is a gap between China and Malaysia. Surely the teams should transport the cars to China because it would be costly to take them back to the UK and back over

Which four teams do you count as being likely to supply race winners this year? McLaren, Red Bull and who else? At the moment not Mercedes, Lotus as outsiders maybe but I feel that they will need to get a bit of luck ; with their recent history they have been very patchy, good at one circuit and poor at the next.
