Pitlane Access Safety Gate Loose Wheel Thingy

Surely in this day and age of modern technological thing-a-me-bobs, it wouldn't take a rocket scientist to install a micro switch on the capture device of all four wheels that disables the clutch until the wheels are properly secured thus preventing any car from driving off without a wheel secured?

This could also do away with need for the lollipop man as all that the driver would need is a red light / green light indicator on the steering wheel to show when all four wheels are on and in place.

It's no different from aircraft having a cockpit indication to show that the landing gear is down and locked.

How about instead of coming up with the daftest rules possible such as mandatory pit times and ever slower pit lane speeds, just apply a technical solution to a technical problem?

Ah, yeah, good point well raised. Forgot about that.

Well at least most of what I've written would be possible. It's not as if 4 micro switches, some cables, a cut out switch for an electronic clutch and a couple of LEDs would cost that much.
