Maverick got pole for Moto3 by a country mile in very greasy conditions at Le Mans. Bikes going down everywhere.

It was great to see Valentino do so well, but it's not a sign of things to come while he's on that Ducati, I fear. Maybe a move to Honda asap would make the difference?
3 great races, great coverage from Eurosport as usual.

I don't think he'll leave Ducati until he has a few wins, it was a great race for him! If he didnt have the visor problem I think he would have won

Yes I think he still needs to prove a point at Ducati for a while I thought all the fight had gone out of him after Marco's death but he proved me wrong this weekend I'm pleased to say...

I've not watched a race after Simoncelli's death, I don't know why.

Maybe because I have no one to support now, or maybe because I just forget that it's on.

I've never actually watched a MotoGP race . Is the Barcelona GP a good race to watch or is it more likely to put me off of MotoGP?

Not the best race, but it will probably rain for the race on Sunday. The Silverstone race is coming up in a couple of weeks - that's a good race. I think it's part of a triple-header.

F1 is much better than motogp, but if you need your motorsport fix between f1 weekends motogp is usually on :)

Josh - It's a matter of personal taste. They are different sports but as to which is best as a spectator sport is a another matter. I would recommend watching a few race weekends.

My personal view is this: The lower categories - Moto3 and Moto2 - give the spectator a lot more action and excitement with hard, close racing and overtakes to take one's breath away. Personally, I also think those classes shade the 4 wheeler equivalents of GP3 and GP2.

MotoGP can have it's dull days bit hopefully the shake up this season has brought a few new players to the grid to spice things up. The main thing is whether one just watches with one's eyes and not the brain. Just consider what it takes to brake from over 320kph for a 75kph corner, with the rear wheel bunny hopping whilst diving through the inside of another bloke to pull off an overtake. Sorry, but no pass in F1 compares to that.

At the end of the day MotoGP is to motorcycle racing what F1 is to car racing. I personally, enjoy both and from time to time both will provide incredible spectacles and both can provide bore-fests. Where F1 does score is with regard to the technology - or rather, how much we are exposed to the technology. This has more to do with the media coverage which unfortunately is quite poor for MotoGP. The BBC and Eurosport are signally adept at failing to convey anything other than the most basic of technical insight. They talk about tech' a bit but rarely show any of it.

Anyway, there for what it is worth is my opinion and no-one has to take it.

Great comments Fenderman, if you want the full deck Josh you should watch all three races (Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP) via the mighty Eurosport, you'll see some great talent and some close racing. At every event at least one, generally two and sometimes all three races will be epic.
