Thought Id make a quick return before dissapering into the wilderness again as I appear to have something useful to offer

got some very nice pictures of the HRT car, although i would hardly say the same thing about the Car its self livery pretty horrible. A Tarmac colored F1 car, don't think we will be talking about it like lotus, Mclaren or Tyrrell legendary liveries of the past any time in the near future.

Dont know how to do the little image thingy that makes it come up smaller, and frankly at 4am in the morning i cannot be bothered trying to, so here is the direct links :snigger:

Is it just me or does Bruno Senna look a little eager to find out whats under the dust sheet, Perhaps he expecting to find the car still in bits or something :D

Hope to be back properly soon

Cheers for the pictures AMR.

It seems Dallara have produced quite a tidy looking car and like so many others this season it's very "Red Bull" in it's appearence. That slate gray colour dosn't do it any favours but on looks alone it seems to be less "chunky" than the Lotus.

It would have been interesting to see it test to compare it's performance but at least they have something to put their drivers in a go racing with.

Not an unpleasant looking car but a severe lack of sponsorship; no wonder they were having financial troubles. Bruno Senna looks like a kid in a toy shop, let's hope his obvious enthusiam comes through on the track and a year trailing round at the back doesn't knock his confidence.

I wondered who the first F1 team to try camoflague would be! Come on, Hispanica. Some combination of bright reds and yellows is what I would be expecting!

A very weird coincidence...
HRT - Hispania Racing Team
HRT - Hrvatska Radio Televizija (or Croatian Radio-Television in english)

So you might imagine that Croatian people are very happy with this new team. :snigger:

Haha, how much do you love your TV channels. Would we be happy with a BBC entry

HRT were 18th in Eurovision last year (with 12 points from
Bosnia-Herzegovina
). Reckon HRT will be a better group of letters for F1? (18th or better in WDC I want, I know they'll beat 18th in WCC!)

That's just the point. If they are anything like the organization they share the acronym with...
They'll make a lot of money from sponsors, a lot of money from Spanish citizens and the Spanish goverment, hire 4000 people and end every single year with a financial loss. LOL

Wasn't there a BBC Ferrari back in the early 80's? Packet of chocolate Hob Nobs if any of you can remember what I'm going on about.

Back to Hispania, and its not looking good, is it? Only one car at a Grand Prix, and Senna 4 seconds behind di Grassi in P2, and a full 11.5 seconds behind Rosberg! That is roughly equivalent to how far Vincenzo Sospiri was behind Coulthard (pole) in qualifying for the 1997 Australian GP in his MasterCard Lola! It looks like Virgin and Lotus will be able to keep within 5 seconds, but should Hispania be allowed to race at this deficit. Will we see their sponsorship a lot as silver cars constantly lap grey ones? Or will they trigger the silly sweepstake?

I think they should have to qualify within 107% of the man in 17th, at the very least!

I just don't believe a driver, for all his apparent decentness, is going to potentially drive his first laps in a formula one car (ever) in the heat of Qualifying? In an un-tested car with an un-tested driver? It can't be right can it.

I think Karun did test a Red Bull a few years back.

But you're right of course, it's far from ideal and probably shouldn't happen. Hopefully he'll get enough time tomorrow morning in P3 to feel more comfortable.
