Formula 2 GP2 2012

Scuderia Coloni confirm Stefano Coletti and Fabio Onidi for 2012

http://en.espnf1.com/gp2/motorsport/story/67611.html

I know previously its been reported that Ceccon was driving for them next year but obviously not. I think Coletti is one to watch as was lookig good before his accident last year.

Teams are taking their blooming mind deciding which drivers to announce i would have thought 2/3 of the grid would have been taken by now.

I'm guessing GP2 teams don't start confirming until after the F1 silly season is over and that includes test drivers I guess. Theres no mention of Bianchi yet and surely he'll be in GP2 next year!

Hopefully - he's too good to just sit on the sidelines for a year.

Really can't wait for this seasons GP2 season to start :). Actually i can't wait i'm probably more excited about this than the Moto-Gp season starting.

I always thought Buemi was originally from Bahrain

you sure there not all just wanting to follow in the footsteps of Jean-Denis Délétraz?

Nah...

His uncles lives in Bahrain as did(does) he at times bit sure if he does anymore, just remember BBC trying to do "F1 Cribs" back in 2009 and Moose was in Bahrain, and he is Swiss not from Bahrain.

I think that Buemi is a good role model and thanks the him people have noticed that Switzerland motor-sport community is back up and running. I really hope for the countries sake that all these drivers coming through can make it into F1 like Buemi managed/has managed too.

That backs up my point, and it was very well made by Coach :)I might have put in a but of light humour in, but I was also serious. All it takes is one man to get into a sport from an country which doesn't have much history to create interest, take Kubica for example, now Poland has an interest in motor sport. The same with Alonso and Spain, and Schumacher with Germany :)

Well you only have to look what Senna did for F1 in Brazil to know what one driver alone can do for a country. Also to a less extent Narain Karthikeyan and Karun Chandhok are doing for F1 in India too.

Exactly. :)

The indian drivers aren't doing much in F1, yet as we daw at the Indian GP, they had such a big following.
