What's interesting about the CTA stats Vs other site stats olegg is how much the number of CTA voters dropped at end of season despite having numerous new users on the forum . It's like all the old guard suddenly stopped watching all at once.

Yes.
This is odd.
But by the way racefans number of participating in the evaluation of races also decreased at the end of the season.
Perhaps this is due to a decrease in interest in the results of the season.

2010 German Grand Prix - 3,74 - that was the felipe faster than you race right. i thought i remember it better.

2010 bahrain gp was worst race i can remember from that point (1998 - 2010)

i know i was surprised unless Monaco must be the super bowl of F1. when according to the article Bahrain, France, Austria, Great Britain, Italy, and Mexico got 90m viewers. but monaco got 101m in 2017 & 110m in 2018

ill do some research ill check on sky tv figures to see the popularity in Britain

Mexico, Brazil and USA are time zone related I expect. Late afternoon/evening races after people have had their family outings and have time to chill and watch a race.

Germany & Hungary are summer - maybe a different reason. School out perhaps. Also longer evening but probably they stand out above the other summer races because they are sky only. It looks like sky loses about 150k viewers each race that is free to air.

The number of viewers is not going to correlate to the quality of the race very well. The decision to watch is usually made before the start. The evaluation of whether it was any good happens during and after.

hungary is odd one because it was a good race but not sparkling. but Germany i can see getting general sporting fans watching as it was a great race

but time zone definitely a factor. when you see the dreadful figures for Japan
