....in Superleague Formula.

This from ITV:
Formula 1 refugee Sebastien Bourdais made a winning debut in the Superleague Formula at Estoril last weekend.

Last week the Frenchman, who lost his Toro Rosso F1 drive to Jaime Alguersuari after the German Grand Prix, signed to race for Sevilla in Superleague for the rest of the season.

Introduced in 2008, the Superleague Formula features drivers racing identical 750bhp single seaters representing major worldwide football clubs, with British teams Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur currently leading the standings.

Bourdais finished a quiet 11th in the first race of the weekend, but progressed to second in race two as he settled into the Superleague car.

He then charged from fourth on the grid to win the big money five-lap Super Final shoot-out that ends every Superleague weekend, picking up the 100,000 euro prize in the process.
So he is a proven multiple champion in Champ Car and wins at his first attempt in Superleague.

Why then couldn't he get to grips with F1 then?

Surely the cars aren't that different in the 3 series?
They're all open wheel, open cockpit, single-seater cars with similar performance levels.
