Has anyone tried fitting their own satilite dish? I might buy one from B&Q for about £30 and point it towards Germany. If it works that is.

Now I'm not wealthy but that looks like £30 I'd take a gamble with. bear in mind, it's not all you'll need. second hand dishes are dirt cheap and the whole kit including LNB etc can be got cheap here:

You will need a Sat finder as the digital satellites need to be aligned far for accurately than the old analogue ones.
