Pre-Season BARCELONA TEST 18th-21st Feb 2011

Difficult to make a lot of sense of these times. Generally looks like second lap is faster then sharp drop and the fairly stable with a few tenths on each following lap and then start get a bit faster.
Hmm.

Ted Kravitz said:
"There's nothing wrong at McLaren even though Jenson Button has only done seven laps so far on Saturday. They are just between their set programmes. The early part of the morning was spent doing aero-mapping, where Button had to drive at constant speed down the straight with the moveable rear wing closed. McLaren mechanics are now working on the car's set-up in the garage. They are planning a lot of laps this afternoon. We will see if it's just a series of long runs or a full race simulation."

The Williams of Rubens Barrichello has been running so well in Jerez and now here that there have been accusations that they are running underweight!

His stints here this morning are the benchmark:

33 1:24.264 -3.627 46 01:24.126 -1.55
34 1:24.624 +0.36 47 01:24.857 0.731
35 1:25.336 +0.712 48 01:25.284 0.427
36 1:26.067 +0.731 49 01:25.603 0.319
37 1:26.241 +0.174 50 01:26.229 0.626
38 1:26.073 -0.168 51 01:26.978 0.749
39 1:25.706 -0.367 52 01:27.086 0.108
40 1:25.688 -0.018 53 01:27.832 0.746
41 1:25.870 +0.182 54 01:27.998 0.166
42 1:26.041 +0.171 55 01:28.951 0.953
43 1:25.676 -0.365 56 ----
Comparing the two seems to suggest that these are soft and supersoft stints!

Red Bull seem to be trying some qualifying runs. Vettel in a two lap series of runs.
Vettel raises the bar with a 1m23.315s, a tenth quicker than his last benchmark.

They are now having their lunch and will be back just as I go for mine.
