I know what you mean, but I'm not so sure about that. A lot of Hamilton's gains yesterday were from his switch to a two stop strategy and his associated tyre-saving performance, even though he did make some great overtakes along the way (the double whammy on the Toro Rossos and his pass on Senna, where Ben Edwards said "No-one overtakes there, but Hamilton's doing it!" spring to mind immediately). And Barcelona is not renowned as an easy circuit to pass on; witness Lewis being stuck behind Massa for quite a while. Yet he still managed to make up 16 places and beat his team mate, who manged to gain just one.
So I don't believe Monaco need hold Lewis back; I'm just wondering what will be the next method that Mclaren find to put him down the grid.
