2014 and 2018 Winter Olympics

Im saying nothing, ive learnt my lesson last time dont want to be called racist.

I want to give the Russian benefit of the doubt as he could be innocent

Why would you bring that back up again? You made a big tit of yourself last time but trying to argue that assuming Pastor Maldonado(an individual) is guilty of something is the same as assuming all Russians (a nation) are guilty of something last time.

I've never thought you were a racist F1Brits_90 I just think you said something without realising what you were saying. Everyone does that - me most of all - but why bring it all back up again when it was all forgotten and we'd moved on to try and score some points?

So to conclude. I Don't think you're a racist but now I think you're a bit of a numpty.

P.S.: hey look at that I did stick my oar in!

I was trying to make a joke about whole situation to diffuse the situation. Because if there is a big elephant in the room i usually feel its better to mention rather than tiptoe around it. Like at work i work with a partner & we support rival teams 6 weeks ago when derby happened. There was a huge subject people were frightened to talk about. So i started it off

Obviously i got tone the wrong

Russia / NHL / Olympics - segues nicely to a great doc I can recommend:

Red Army (2014) - IMDb

The trailer doesn't really touch on it but the US v Russia ice hockey clash in the 1980 Winter Olympics features in the film, great stuff. The NHL cared then!

Historical reference
Ice hockey - first played 19th century Canada
First official game in the USA was in 1893
NHL was founded November 26, 1917 (100 years ago)
First official Ice hockey game in the Russia was at December 22, 1946
First official game for russian team in the Olympic Games was in the 1956

Ice hockey teams on the Olympic Games:
