If we win the group, we'll play the runner up of group C, as we're in group D. So theoretically, if we win the group we should have an easier game, as if we finish runner up of our group, then we would play the winner of group C.

First two quarters are in and its Czech vs Portugal, Germany vs Greece.
Italy in same situation as 2004 - if Spain and Croatia draw 2-2 then they're both through. Last time this happened it was Denmark and Sweden and it finished (you guessed it) 2-2.

Is this the point were team coaches get together and start fixing matches? such as if we let you have two goals and you let us have two goals we both go through or am I just being suspicious and pessimistic about sport again...

Didn't the Scots have a pop at us once because we allowed 3 goals in which knocked them out of the tournament or something like that?
Thats a quite possibly. But there is the great hope from 2010. Uruguay vs Mexico. A draw and both were guaranteed through. Uruguay won 1-0. They both went through anyway, but that's beside the point!

It was somewhat painful to watch... Oh well, guess we'll just have to take the World Cup then
One goal in Euro 96 when we beat the Dutch 4-1. The Dutch 1 eliminated Scotland. (Apologies again, Josh)
