Too much safety car?? any need for full wet tyres??

There's a difference between been good at racing on a damp track and having the confidence to go out in conditions that require the full wet.

I can understand them stopping the race when it was too dangerous but they were defiantely over cautious especially at the start when it wasn't even raining!

As much as I think Health and Safety has gone too far, I can think of a few reasons on why they didn't race with full wets, these wet tyres have lesser tread we have been told compared to the wet Bridgestones tyres, another thing is Alonso said they wear a lot compared to the Bridgetones.

However, I do think it's getting a bit too much with the safety cars it stayed out for too long every time it was deployed...don't know if they where being kind to Bernd Maylander making get some glory of most laps lead or not...but it was really irritating lap after lap thinking when is this safety car period going to end.
