Don't think Brabham's livery in the eighties had anything to do with BMW. Their livery didn't change when they switched to BMW engines - they had the blue-and-white livery some two years before.
Incubus they were red at one point . Yes they did change is to blue and white afterwards but BMW did not need to change the team livery because it just happened the same colours they use for their brand
Brabham moved to red livery when they were using Alfa Romeo engines. They were blue and white before the Alfa motor and they went back to these in 1980 with Parmalat sponsorship and the move back to Cosworth.
FB.....and their period when they carried Martini sponsorship with the red, white and blue stripes on the Gordon Murray BT44, my all time favourite GP car of the modern era. Doesn't it make what we're watching now appear like shite. Maybe I'm being harsh, only maybe.
