The 2012 Season

I have to say I'm loving this season! After Malaysia, I thought that a) Sauber would be comfortably ahead and not be caught in the constructrors, and b) I thought Pérez wouldn't be caught by Kamui, but after Spain, he's only 1 point behind :)

Also, look who are the worst of the 'established' teams...

It's the 2006 Ferrari pairing of the pensioner and Felipe baby :snigger:

Prost is saying F1 2012 is perhaps too unpredictable?! Funny how people compare Hamilton's style to Senna and Button' style to Prost because Prost think Button may be the favourite for the title due to his consistency.

Personally I don't think is too predictable, although my preferred season would be with 3/4 drivers challenging for the title (much like 2010) as well as exciting individual races. I honestly think we'll get that this season once things settle down and the teams get an understanding of how the tyres work at different circuits.

Ferrari's upturn in form regarding their chassis's competitiveness compared to the car that looked almost undriveable in Melbourne reminds a bit of McLaren's halfway through the 2009 season.
One common denominator: Pat Fry.

Fry has been at Ferrari since 1st July 2010, and became director of chassis on May 24 2011. That's just about when the 2012 challenger would have started to be designed.
