MotoGP Stoner out for 3 GP

Casey Stoner is to miss the next 3 MotoGP in order to recover from the mystery illness that has been plaguing him over the last few races.

Mika Kallio, the only other person that seems to be able to ride the Ducati will be deputising until the Portugese GP.

Good luck Mika (stay on it this time!) and get well soon Casey.

I've been following this story for a while now.
It's all a bit odd but if it's virus related then that would account for the weirdness of it all.

It's always a shame when a driver/rider has to sit out part of the season as it effectively rules out any chance they have of securing the championship.

Looks like it's a 2 horse race between Valentino and Jorge now.

I wonder if team orders will come into play

My brother was saying that it could be stress related to his "poor" results but apart from Donnington he's not finished outside the top 5 with 2 wins, 3 x 3rd, 3 x 4th and a 5th which aint too bad if you are wanting to throw up a 200mph with a helmet on!

Hope he gets well soon but will also be interested to see how Mika does on the factory bike as he's shown well on the satellite machine (when he stays on it) it does seem to be a bike that is suited Casey and Casey alone.

His last ride in MotoGp was for Gresini Honda in 2007, last full time ride was for WCM in 2004
