Head To Head Nico Rosberg vs Lewis Hamilton

racecub - I directly quoted you doing so.

He blamed Rosberg for his mistake. How he felt about doing so is neither here nor there.

But it is here or there. It's the crux of the discussion. The only one who knows how and why he acted as he did during that first off is Hamilton. The rest is supposition. And he felt at that time that Rosberg was complicit in the incident. Was he? Wasn't he? Irrelevant.
To those still misunderstanding, that's not me saying what Hamilton felt at the time, thats not me putting words into Hamiltons mouth, or knowing his inner feelings, that's Hamilton saying what he felt at the time. It's on the radio transcript. Those are Hamiltons words, they are not my words. He felt AT THAT MOMENT, that Rosberg compromised him. :givemestrength:

Yet you still presume to know how he 'felt'. He may well have felt stroppy. What people say and what they feel are not synonymous.

He complained about his team mate in the first instance - wrongly. He accepted guilt for the Ricciardo incident. In my view - wrongly.

I think the only possible explanation for Lewis thinking Nico took his line on lap 1 at the chicane was that he was having an out of body experience as a ride-on lawnmower pilot .... happens to the best of them when you run out of road ...

The way I see it, Lewis saw that Nico was going to cover the inside/middle of the track but then reacted to thinking that Nico was coming back on line thus taking evasive action rather than make contact, to me it looks like he he misjudged the movements he thought that Rosberg was going to make, only for Rosberg not to make them

I've lost all interest in debating this issue since certain member seem hell bent on misrepresenting what I say. I do not purport or 'feign' to know how Hamilton thinks or feels. My arguments have been based on what Hamilton DID and SAID at the time. If you don't believe Hamilton was being honest, you think he was lying. That's a different issue.
It's a shame good debate is spoilt by petty point scoring and silly comments.

Interesting, as nobody has said the below.

If you don't believe Hamilton was being honest, you think he was lying. That's a different issue.

You were the one that picked on something Ras said, totally missing the point of his post as you saw what could be interpreted as a criticism, and took the debate it in a different direction.

The crux of the argument was never how Lewis felt as you claim it to be, that was your argument alone. RasputinLives was talking about two quite different reactions. Telling a member they are wide off the mark and it's not Lewis' style is purporting to know better and going to get a reaction.

It's a shame good debate is spoilt by petty point scoring and silly comments.

Isn't it.

Before we get carried away, I figured I'd post a good view of the incident in question

Lot of stuff going on in that cockpit. Certainly not inconceivable to me how he would have felt momentarily aggrieved. But after further review it's obvious that with the left front locked he simply couldn't slow the car down. And when Rosberg moved from the middle/right of the circuit to the racing line on the left, Hamilton's two options were to hit Nico or take it off track.

I'm assuming that was sarcastic Keke.

I would have thought Hamilton would have given the inside a go if it was left open. It wasn't so he switched back to the outside but then Nico closed the door again.

Now that looks like he closed the door twice - two defensive moves. But my understanding is you can move once to defend (no stipulation that the following driver has to have already started an attack) and then move back onto the racing line. Therefore it was one defensive move.

So if that's right Nico didn't do anything illegal?
