Is Mercedes Going to Hit a New Lowe?!!

Hardly original. We're not there but are working hard and will soon be at where they were before they got better.

It looks like Brawn has dug his heels in, it's going to cost them lots to persuade him to go. In the meantime I feel sure that there will be contacts with several other reams which he will consider in his own sweet time.

There is a whole raft of stories coming out of auto123.com.

Lowe has been offered 1 million euros:

McLaren are working hard on keeping Lowe, maybe even offering more money:

Brawn and Ecclestone are engaged in a batlle which could drive Mercedes out of F1:

A shareholder has called for Mercedes to quit F1:

Bernie Ecclestone approves of the Mercedes shakeup:

I can't help feeling that something is afoot.

Lewis says " the guys seem hungrier than any group of people I've seen before"
'Despite joining the team at a late stage in the design process, Hamilton is confident that he can offer a positive contribution to the development of Mercedes 2013 challenger the F1W04.'

I hope Ross not only digs his heels in...but keeps his feet under the table, but IMO he'll not stay if he is undermined.......

Bill Boddy

Mercedes out of F1... not until this venture with Hamilton is done and with the new turbo it could prolong their stay in F1

Lowe has been offered more money to stay at Mclaren

BRawn and Lowe have apparently spoken about the possibility of working together at MErcedes so it seems

they have not solved the issues of the excessive technical directors at the team

It's sounding to me as if Niki Lauda's presence could be the reason behind as lot of these rumblings. Brawn apparently has no issue with Toto Wolff who will oversee the financial side of things, something Ross would rather not be involved with. I do get the impression there's a clash of egos going on.
Also Paddy Lowe must be mortified suggestions of him leaving McLaren have all come out into the open.

Edit - much as I like Lewis (my favourite driver) he does seem to always be in the wrong place at the wrong time!

I was hoping Lewis would have a quiet...ish year, getting good results wherever he could....but being the best...he always attracts attention...the place he's at...is the place to be..
Agree re Paddy Lowe......
Methinks...Niki Lauda has got a louda mouth....

the fact is Mercedes have always been running with Norbert answering all questions about motorsport performance and results and the investment as a team in f1 has failed so far to impress

Lauda is a bit more hands on -- that's more to do with his experience with Luca DI Montezemolo ways of running things during their successful years at Ferrari in the 70s

One can assume then he has not committed himself to Mclaren or Mercedes yet fully if he is not at the launch

Mephistopheles

I think it will hurt Mclaren more because Mercedes need another season to sort themselves out

With Mclaren it looked like Lowe was the senior man of the engineers
