F1 Young Driver Programs

I am quite confused by Force India, are they the feeder thingys for McLaren or Mercedes? We know that di Resta is effectively a "Mercedes" driver and Mercedes put the pressure on Force India to put di Resta in the car in 2010 and 2011.

Before Mercedes came into F1 McLaren (who were part owned bu Merc at the time) gave FI technical help including "lending" them one of their senior technical people for a year. Presumably now that Mercedes have sold their stake in McLaren the relationship between FI and Merc is more direct.

Don't forget that Force India use McLaren's gearbox.
