All joking aside. It's a bit of a worry for Lotus.

Di Grassi in the Virgin is almost 2.5 seconds quicker with not far off the same number of laps run. Obviously you can't make a direct comparison because we can only guess at fuel levels and bits and bobs. All though Virgin had the benefit of the previous test we all know how few runs they managed due to the wing issue so Lotus must be a little worried about their early pace.

As for Heikki, He's in last chance salloon as far as his reputation goes but the trouble is he's got a 3 year contract at Lotus so if he fails to handle his drink (again !!) there's no way he can get chucked out on to the street without the barkeep having to spend a fortune. I said at the time (at least I think I did) that signing Trulli and Kovi on 3 year contracts was perhaps not the best of moves.

Ok so it's early doors yet and not a time to panic so perhaps we will have to way and see how Lotus can improve tomorrow with Trulli behind the wheel and then where they go at the next test.

As it stands I think there is a Virgin Stewardesses uniform in Tony Fernandezs size waiting for him at Virgin Atlantic HQ.

I would be very suprised if there aren't break clauses in those contracts regarding performance...

Interesting to see that once again Virgin seem to be limited in the amount of runs they could complete. They seem to be sorting the car but it must be a bit of a worry that they haven't managed longer runs.

Concentrating on the proper teams, looks quite tight at the front. Here's hoping for a competitive season and that the Manor and Proton mobile chicanes don't get in the way too much.

At least it's easier to see who'se doing what today thanks to a day of dry running. It seems to be following the general trend of the RBR/Ferrari/Mclaren battle. Three different engines in the back so fuel consumption is going to be absolutely key to the season.

Quiet day for Mercedes but they will be in the mix come Bahrain. Wonder how Schueys neck is holding up. :whistle:
