No worries but I did see Des' view about Schumacher's real motive was letting everyone know who is the lead driver rather than superstitions PR rubbish over the fuss in telling Rosberg to switch to car No 4

I did like it when the teams kept the same numbers from year to year, unless they had the champion. I also miss cars being numbered in the 30s.

Did they have F1 in the 30s?

I think when it was the prequalifying days some of the lower teams had car numbers in the 30's if I remember right

...and after the pre-qual days. Sauber were initially 29/30.

They had the European Drivers Championship. We have Vettel, Alonso, Hamilton. They had Rosemeyer, Caracciola, Stuck, Lang (I'm starting to see a pattern here). The Germans were clear favourites and if not for a guy called Nuvolari they would have walked away with all the wins.
