BBC F1 2012

Eddie Jordan has recieved an honorary OBE for his services to charity and motorsport. Love him or loathe him (I reckon he's alright) you can't deny he's a character and Jordan was 'good' for F1.

I agree with you about Jordan. They were a great team for F1 and when HHF had a shout of winning the title I thought that was absolutely brilliant.

That said though, I don't think EJ brings anything to the party that countless other ex members of the F1 world wouldn't.

I will be enjoying it on Sky in HD because the BBC don't care about their licence payers and sold off one of my favourite things. Since then I reckon I watch 90% of my television on channels other than BBC, beforehand I probably watched less than 70% on other channels.
I feel sorry for those who have to rely on the BBC.

Wow the BBC truly are pathetic. Is it even clashing with the final or is it some crap ealier match? It's 'the' home race for crying out loud...

It's clashing with the men's final - but I can't see why they won't screen it in HD, they have two HD channels, one can be for Wimbledon, and one can be for F1. Anyway, I'm sure there's something in the contract regarding this.

This actually brings up even more questions- which will get priority on bbc1? If a certain Andrew Murray makes the final, then we will be destined to see tennis on bbc1, with f1 on bbc2..... (I've never quite understood why the bbc bumps tennis off bbc2 when there are big matches- the matches would still be available on the other side....)

For some reason, the BBC always seems a little embarrassed with f1 - all other sports seem to take priority! Mind it's a bit of rubbish scheduling if there are 2 major international events in the south of England on the same day!

Another tick in the dislike BBC box. They are about as useful and user friendly as a chocolate teapot. What a waste of rations.

Unlike their qualifying usually! Maybe they edited as buffering on iplayer, the whole race was impressive, just watching it on both channels for fairness!

This wouldn't have been a problem had the olympics not been coming. Wimbledon was brought forward 2 weeks to give the players a rest before the olympics happen. But as Wimbledon and Tennis in general will get the first pick of which channel there on. So i think it's safe to say that the British Grand Prix will likely be on BBC2. Either that or the Mens final starts after the Grand prix on Sunday.
