Mark is having a bit more luck with this set of tyres... Even so he just did teo mid 1:32s on the trot. He is back into the 1:31s so perhaps it was traffic.

Lewis's next run was a carbon copy 1:32.858 then pit.

If he hasn't got any fuel on board then we have to hope track conditions are not conducive to decent quali lap times.

Sebastian Vettel's qualifying simulation lap yesterday was 1:23.315.

Lewis is back on track for the 65 lap today. Twelve more laps and he will have equalled the record for laps completed by the MP4-26 on a single day.

It doesn't look like they are compared to yesterday, with according to Autosport a max temp of 14 degrees and a track that is still damp off-line in places.
Even if Lewis set those sub-1:24 times on vapour, I'm still encouraged relieved that the Mclaren is capable of going anything like that quickly. Vettel did his 1:23 yesterday (admittedly on a somewhat longer run) in much better conditions, with a few other drivers in the 1:24's, while today no-one else has yet got below a high 1:25.
Or am I just being insanely optimistic?
