Football All things Football

At least my day was partially made up by the result of the match I was at.

Mrs Toast and the little slices are all Walsall fans so I was at the Bescot. 1-1 until the last kick of the match when the ball ended up coming out of the box to the feet of the Walsall midfielder who smashed it back in on a half volley. 2-1.

Scenes !!!! LOL

there nothing better than final minute winner in football. thats it now theyll be hooked from that moment

i bet last year was a quite depressing time. as that was quite an unprecedented collapse by walsall. they basically had the name on the trophy in late January, top of the league, 15pts clear of 4th. promotion was all but guaranteed. but proceeded to only win 2 of their next 17 games & dropped into the playoffs. then lost play off final at wembley. (all though i know what that's like. :censored: you kieffer moore)

My wife and kids went to Wembley last year. My wife and daughter were interviewed on the ITV coverage before the match.

I didn't go because I'd already seen my own team lose at Wembley which was bad enough. I looked after the dog

Yeah, last season was awful as they threw away what was at one point a 15 point lead. Matt Sadler survived by the skin of his teeth only to have an almost identical collapse this season. He had to go.

Since Darren Byfield took over Walsall have won two drawn one. Today was their first home win of 2026
