2012 FOTA World Championship

On a street theme - Soho :ok:

...Pit stops to include driver servicing :o (if only it were the 70's)

Brands Hatch, Laguna Secca, Paul Ricard, Nordschleife would all feature on my list... We can dream.

Cue Max Mosley rerunning for FIA presidency.
Doesn't Bernie own Paul Ricard HTTT? Not sure he'd allow a breakaway series to run there, unless of course they paid him 5squillion a year in which case he'd welcome them with open arms - "what breakaway? FIA who? I've always been on your guys' side".

I wish I wasn't such a computer duffer so that you could see a rather nice lay out I made around the Bristol Docks.

:embarrassed:

Ah well. It wasn't that good anyway.

Laguna Seca would be awesome... I say we get a race on the streets of Bradford, maybe someone would do us a favour and 'off' Bernie :please:

That's a coincidence, here's mine:

From the Sublime to the Ridiculous

Let's see how good these guys really are!

1 lap: Mille Miglia
8 laps: Isle of Man TT Circuit
16 laps: Nordschleife
16 Laps: Ostereichring (the original)
30 laps: Dundrod
25 laps: La Sarthe

European GP – M25 England

Lots of laps at:
Road America
Laguna Seca
Aragon
Cadwell Park
The coast road round Jersey
Macau
Knock Hill - Scotland
Anglesey - Wales
Pau

:D

If we really want to stand out, maybe a one-lap race around a medium-sized European country.

Take the AustriaRing:

It would bring the whole country to a standstill. Because we'd shut the roads!

In fact, Tour de France watching TBY has wondered about even having circuits.

I mean, this scenic route, starting in Paris and ending at the Circuit de la Sarthe is about 300 miles (crap that was the km limit wasn't it? Ah well)

And it finishes at a proper racing circuit with podiums and all sorts of crap. And pit strategy is out, you gotta look after your machine!

As a less-than-proud person from Dewsbury (near Leeds, UK), Bernie can experience the grimmest of towns for himself (I had to for years!)http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=4680334
...and a way for Bernie to meet the Gallaghers... http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=4680342
Perhaps a better Spanish street circuit... http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=4680350
A trip for F1 breakaways past my house, perhaps? http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=4680367
A trip to the Eiffel Tower as well, maybe? http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=4680385

...Well, as a result, you can go free of charge! But don't stand too close to them, you'll end up talking about the 'sunshiiiiine' and 'back in my day, Moss Side was a real hovel. Now the ice cream man sells cocaine- where's all the proper druggies gone...'

Sorry, the last one was a personal rant, having lived in Moss Side (a notorious area of Manchester) for several years...
