Cycling

No. But I'm more vulnerable on a bike, I need to know that it's right. I have even built my own wheels at times (and for others as well).

Well I'd be terrible at trying to build a bike. As for whether I'd trust someone to do it, people work in bike shops for a reason, it's their job. Not to mention there is Cytech so bike mechanics can be certified nowadays. Perhaps I should get on that... or just learn.

Decided to index my gears last evening; know what I'm doing, done it before....................BOING!!!!!!! Had forgotten to put the cassette in the smallest ring, much head scratching later and I had it sorted, had to resort to my workshop guide though.
No matter how good I think I am, I always **** myself up!
Did an awesome 25 miles after, though.

Whenever I go into the local bike shop they try to sell me something. I went in for an innertube and they tried to sell me a wheel. Actually my first statement was not correct, I went in to buy a rear reflector for my grandson's bike and they gave it to me. But that is the only time.

Buckled the wheel on the hybrid the other day, a dog was trying its hardest to sink its teeth into my leg. Thats about four dog attacks since january, and I wasn't even in a park for this latest one, just in an estate.

Got my 1st decent length ride in tonight. just a smidge under 18 miles. Will be definitely pushing over 20 next time out. All I need now are some decent shades and something to cover the mouth to keep the bugs out. Ate 3 of the buggers today.

I had no idea there was a section of this place for cyclepaths! Oakley sunnies are good, pricey, but good (and just a bit addictive, think I'm up to 6 pairs now!)

As to building your own bikes, I do, and I assemble my motorbikes, and I would do my car if I had time/could afford it! It's nice to know that it's been put together properly/and mistakes are your and yours alone!

Just had a look at some Oakleys. Very nice but damn they are pricey! £135 for these badboys.

I managed to pick up a pair of genuine Oakeys while in Ibiza. Only 5 euros.

Thought it was about time I uploaded a pic of my machine.

Looks like you've got a passenger!

How well does the road bike stand up to cobbles like that? My arse is wrecked after doing some rough stuff on a hybrid.
