It doesn't affect what can be seen so I'm happy for it to stay as it is now just wanted to make you aware of the change as the iPhone user sees it! More space for content is always a plus.

It will actually affect any screen with a horizontal pixel count of 340 or less.

I'm happy to restore the padding though if it's preferred.
I don't use any devices with screens that small so it doesn't affect me

I use a 4s Brogan, the change you've made to remove padding is no biggie to me, as F1Yorkshire says, more space for content is better.

It has double pixels per inch than the old iPhone screen but the retina screen still registers as a 320px viewport.

this happens on the lumia 1020 as well. I liked the spacing better. Wide letters (TAW etc)actually touch the edge of the screen. It looks rubbish, like its a mistake. I will post a snap shot if i figure out how to upload it from my phone.
