rumour has it that Ross Brawn paid the amazing amount of 1 pound for the Honda F1 stable trying hard to find some kind of support for this rumour, but so far it seems what Brawn paid is not really made public.
The £1 was a notional amount regarding the transfer of ownership of the team but I think Ross Brawn also had to secure somewhere around £50 million for the running costs of the team.
I think Honda also committed a fairly large sum for the first year too.
It's a shame really as at any other time there would be a stream of sponsors knocking on Ross Brawn's door bearing in mind the results so far but then again perhaps Honda wouldn't have pulled out if the global economy hadn't hit car manufacturers quite so hard?
