The 2012 Season

For those wishing to look forward - some punts for 2012:

Vettel still the man to beat
Hamilton will return to form with a fast Mclaren out of the box, take the WDC - just, stick 2 fingers up at Whitmarsh, and saddle up with Brawn
Alonso to have a storming second half of the season as Ferrari finally find the missing link in their revolutionary new car - but it won't be enough
Kimi - a couple of podiums
Martin "lets talk about Jenson" Whitfarce will once again want to ermmm talk about Jenson
Eddie "George McCartney" Jordan will still talk bollocks
Dark Horse - Lotus
and for the romantics - Schumi will bag a win with a much improved Merc - but still finish behind Ross and retire

HRT have confirmed their car won't be ready for the final test, so like Marussia they will début at the first race in two weeks.

Marussia carrying out two days of "promotional filming" at Silverstone - including remaking Paint Your Wagon with Timo Glock in the Lee Marvin role. Here's an image of them "Painting their Wagon"...

I'll get me coat!

This is what Red Bull were also seen doing with their latest front wing (according to Autosport).

Marussia have passed the final FIA crash test so there will be a full grid of cars at the first qualifying session.

Whether they are within the 107% time and make it to the race is another matter.

Better late than never!! What are the odds of Marussia or HRT turnin up at Oz and blitzing the field???

Christian Horner has stated that Vettel's biggest threat this year will be Button.

Ferrari apparently have new sidepods which will need to pass the FIA crash tests.

And Red Bull will be running the "B-Spec" RB8 at Melbourne, the one they had the problems with during the last two days of testing.

With neither Trulli nor Barrichello finding seats for this season, the average age of the drivers starting next week will be slightly below that of last season (28.46 compared to 28.54).
