Another shock for race fans today with news of the death of Sean Edwards following a test session crash in Australia. I watched the Nurburgring 24hrs endurance race this year. Sean drove the winning Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 with Black Falcon team mates Bernd Schneider, Jeroen Bleekemolen and Nicki Thiim. It was a great victory in one of the toughest of motor races.

Sean was leading this years Porsche Supercup championship with 118 points. Nicki Thiim is currently second (100 points) and Michael Ammermüller is third (94 points) wih the final two races at Yas Marina, UAE on 3rd November.

Another great blow to motor sport this year.

My commiserations to Sean's family, friends and fans.

Tragic news, and a stark reminder of how dangerous motor sport can still be.

Condolences to family and friends, and best wishes for the driver still fighting for his life.
